To understand we have to time travel for a minute.

Let's say you are interested in web development. You built a gaming app using a few basic web development tools like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

You tell your friend about the app, and as of interest, he asks you to let him play.

After playing he was super interested in your game. want your game on his local machine(laptop) to play whenever he wants.

Day by day your app got excellent fame. All of your friends want to play that.

So, it is too difficult to share your code with all of your friends.

To overcome this problem where the servers came in to picture.

Server -> This word sounds too professional let's understand this in the general sense.

It refers to a computer program/network computer that receives & responds to made over a network. It is like a public computer.

If you place your application on the server those who request have access to your application. This allows other users across the internet to access it.

My deployment😅

Initially, I thought placing my code in GitHub is a deployment. After realizing this, I frame my mistake in this way.

I colored a painting very well. But placed this in my room and locked it instead of hanging that In the living room.
